McIntosh is an excellent apple to chew and stewed. It is preferred because of its abundant and sweet juice. This variety remains very popular with Quebec consumers. Quebec, with its fresh fall, offers exceptional conditions for this variety. This variety was discovered in Ontario and introduced in orchards in 1836.
